I cannot typically wear flip-flops or any sandal that goes between the toes as they have never been comfortable - not so with these flip-flops. I've actually been buying this style of flip-flop for years since I first discovered them for sale at a local Dillard's store and I bought my first pair for a trip to Hawaii. Great decision! I wore them all day every day in Hawaii and traipsed all over the islands in them. They were so comfortable that I bought several other pairs when I got back to Texas (they used to come in several colors - charcoal, light tan, etc.). I have never been disappointed in the durability and had to look for them online when Dillard's replaced them with Reef sandals the next year. Once I found OceanMinded online, I bought more since I wore them so much they wore out. (They used to sell them in youth sizes and my son lived in them during his first trip to Hawaii too!) I'm surprised to see reviews where people said the strap came out as I've never had that happen in any of the pairs I bought - I just replaced them when I wore the soles down. I have noticed that since they transitioned to Crocs, the size got narrower (not sure if those things are related or not) so although I usually wear a 9-9.5, I have to get a 10 in the sandals and they fit slightly smaller and narrower than they originally did (they feel a little stiff at first however do get more flexible and stretch slightly once you wear them for awhile). I will continue to buy them as they are hands down the most comfortable shoes to wear when I'm not at work. I wish they would bring back more selections in the colors of the leather Del Mar as it would be nice to have a black and light neutral color to choose from again, especially in a warmer climate where flips-flops are worn a good portion of the year.
